“Code” is a set of instructions that tells a computer what to do. By creating a personalized story, students will be creating basic code to tell readers where they will go next in their story.
Here's What You'll Learn
With nearly 200 books, “Choose Your Own Adventure” is a series of books where students can choose what route the character takes within the story. Students love these books because of one thing - choice! By combining student choice and storytelling, students become immediately engaged in the story they are reading.
Let’s take this idea one step further and inspire our students to write their own, interactive story. Instead of writing a linear story, challenge students to create an interactive story with multiple outcomes. Once they have created their story, they can use the hyperlinking features within Google Slides to make it interactive and publishable to the world!
